A body appears, fragmented within the arrangement of several tree canopies, divided into units of measurement, marked and categorised – as if it were already part of a digital system. Numbering defines individual sections like measurement points in an algorithmic analysis. Yet within the plausibly growing ramifications of nature, not only does this system appear unstable and fragile, but so too does the body operating within it, which is inherent to the system. An obvious tension emerges between coded mechanisms of recording and a natural, physical assertion of self.
