Analogfotografie_35x50_baryth

Analogue multiple exposures reveal bodies that multiply, shift and partially vanish. The superimposition gives rise to scenes of fleeting identities – with no clear boundaries between visibility and total dissolution, because time is inscribed into the image. The analogue approach treats visibility as a fragile state. Fragments of bodies appear, emerging in a single moment only to disintegrate into individual layers immediately afterwards. This thus anticipates what has characterised digital systems from the outset: the disappearance of the body into accumulations of data and algorithmic recordings.
